Guitars For Vets
Guitars for Vets is launching a chapter in North Dakota! With the headquarters based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Guitars For Vets® is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2007 by guitar instructor Patrick Nettesheim and his student, Vietnam era Marine, Dan Van Buskirk.
“There are few things more important in this world than to treat our brothers and sisters with Patience, Acceptance, Gratitude and Empathy (P.A.G.E.). These are qualities we all need to heal and sustain. G4V brings these values to our injured Veterans through teamwork, camaraderie and the healing power of music.” – Patrick Nettesheim
Guitars For Vets operates more than 80 chapters in over 40 states with the help of hundreds of volunteers, launching the newest one in the Bismarck-Mandan area. The North Dakota Chapter will be coordinated by Heavy Metal Journalist, Jenna Williams ‘The Scream Queen’.
Jenna has been a Heavy Metal Journalist for ten years and is launching her new website, DamnationVault.com in conjunction with the Guitars For Vets North Dakota chapter.
“Guitars For Vets signifies exactly what the healing power of music is and I could not be more honored to be involved with such an incredible organization.” says Jenna. “We want to not only spread the message about how powerful music is as an aid in healing, but to inspire our Veterans that have sacrificed so much for our country .”
Guitars For Vets is dedicated to sharing the healing power of music with Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury as well as other health issues that resulted from their services. G4V pursues its mission by providing free, private guitar instruction, a practice guitar, accessories and method book in a structured program run by volunteers, primarily through the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers.
Guitars For Vets North Dakota Chapter is launching in June in honor of PTSD Awareness Month along with DamnationVault.com, which is scheduled to launch Memorial Day, May 28, 2018.
