Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals comprised of bassist Derek Engemann, guitarist Stephen Taylor, guitarist Mike DeLeon, and drummer Joey ‘Blue’ Gonzalez, are heading to Texas this weekend to perform A Vulgar Display of Pantera set LIVE at this weekend in San Antonio and Dallas! A Vulgar Display of Pantera is a tribute and homage our beloved late Pantera brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott performing our most favorite Pantera tracks!
On April 9, 2021, Danny Wimmer Presents broadcasted the special Philip H. Anselmo and the Illegals A Vulgar Display of Pantera livestream event. The 3 hour event was filmed live in front of 50 fans with Housecore Records labelmates and special guests, King Parrot, who performed their set live from Danger Tone Studios in Melbourne, Australia.
The Illegals performed Pantera songs including a renditions of This Love, Suicide Note Part 1 featuring Calvin Dover, who is a member of En Minor alongside Stephen Taylor and Philip Anselmo. The Illegals also performed Goddamn Electric, Cowboys From Hell, Revolution Is My Name, Fucking Hostile, Walk and many others.
The Illegals would include Pantera songs in their setlists all over the world ever since they released their first album, Walk Through Exits Only on July 16, 2013. On January 28, 2018, Choosing Mental Illness as a Virtue was released. It wasn’t until 2019 they decided to start playing an entire set devoted to Pantera.
