Blackcraft Cult launched a new podcast over the holidays called “Witching Hour“!

The podcast’s first episode hosted by Bobby Blackcraft and  Producer Jake aired on New Year’s Eve 2021, titled The Pilot. Bobby is the co-founder of Blackcraft Cult and one of the creators of Space ZebraProducer Jake is the producer of That Space Zebra Show on the Danny Wimmer Presents Twitch Channel. In the first episode, Bobby and Jake dive into the history and beginnings of Blackcraft Cult and their partnership between Danny Wimmer Presents and Space Zebra, as well as discuss the transition from Blackcraft Gaming to Space Zebra, all while playing songs in between from unsigned Artists, Imperial Tide, Widow7, Casket Robbery, and Speed of Light.

They also chat about the first ever Blackcraft Pop Up event held in Scranton, PA at Strange and Unusual, a store selling unique and one of a kind oddities owned by Josh Balz, an entrepreneur who stepped out of band-Life as the former keyboardist of Motionless In White in 2017. Along with Strange And Unusual, Josh’s other businesses include Horror Hub Market Place, Parlor Beverages, a rootbeer company partnered with Aaron Bruch, the bassist of Breaking Benjamin, his 21+ bar complete with vegetarian and vegan options, NOIR: Dark Spirits, coffee shop Steamy Hallows, and Batty Fang Salon.

Josh is also a host of Space Zebra and the special guest on Witching Hour’s second episode, titled “Josh Balz“. The Blackcraft Pop Up Event at Strange and Unusual and their first ever Noir Nights event were the main focuses of the podcast. They played Music from unsigned Artists featured on Space Zebra, Lonewolf and Lines of Loyalty, and also an unreleased new track called False Reflections from Strange Kids, Josh’s current band. 

Below is a photo from the official @BlackcraftCult Twitter page of what the Pop Up event looked like inside The Strange & Unusual, where Blackcraft merch was set up around the design of a funeral home. Noir Nights took place on January 1, 2022. In the podcast, they describe it as a 21+ event where attendees must wear all black. Josh and Bobby DJ’ed for the event. Women and men were inside cages and glass boxes expressing their own personal Art, while some were strapped to the crosses upstairs.

They also chat about the next Noir Nights coming up in February in Pittsburgh, PA and the Heaven and Hell theme envisioned for the event.

Guitarists who wanted to be featured live on the show submitted their videos and chosen guitarists played guitar live, riffing against Wes himself for the chat to decide who riffed better. Space Zebra is a livestream show on Twitch, streaming 5 days a week, that allows unsigned Artists to submit their songs to be played and featured on stream, some even getting the chance to perform live during the show, or even making it through the Battle For The Big Stage brackets to play on the mainstage at Welcome To Rockville on the Space Zebra stage where Metallica headlined, exposing the Artists to new fans on a show viewed by millions all over the world. In the podcast, they talk about in depth about their passion for promoting unsigned bands on their Twitch platform.

The intro Music of the podcast is from Imperial Tide’s 2021 single, Blood In TheStreets. The full song was played later in the first episode. Imperial Tide are an unsigned band from Las Vegas who were featured on That Space Zebra’s Show: Welcome To Rockville’s Battle For The Big Stage, performing head-to-head live on stream against unsigned band Actus Reus, from Georgia, for an opportunity to perform on the mainstage at 2021’s Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach Florida, all of which was decided by the fans in the chat. It ultimately was won by WHIT3 COLLR. 

LEAKS AND OTHER BLACKCRAFT CULT NEWS:

They have leaked some news through the Space Zebra Discord channel! They will be releasing an unheard Zacky Vengeance track tomorrow on the podcast from Josh and Bobby’s DJ set. 

It was also leaked in the podcast that Bobby Blackcraft wants to do a nail polish line, which has been teased on the @BlackcraftCult Twitter page a lot lately, even posting a photo of the bottle of nail polish and soon deleting the picture, and asking followers what color nail polishes they’d like to see.

Also mentioned in the podcast when they were taking questions, Blackcraft Cult are working on doing a line of hockey jerseys.

Another thing Blackcraft Cult are teasing on their Twitter page, a collaboration with Manic Panic Hair Dye.

Also confirmed through the Space Zebra Discord, the next Noir Nights will be taking place on February 12th in Pittsburgh, PA.
