Grip announced the addition of New Jersey based rapper, Chris Patrick, to his 2022 North American ‘I Died For This!?’ headlining tour featuring Wiley From Atlanta and Marco Plus.
All four Artists are going on a short 7 date run through North America kicking off February 24th-March 13th. Considering the fact there are days off in between some of the dates, maybe they’ll add more stops to the tour!
I Died For This!? is the album title of Grip‘s August 2021 release that this tour is named after. It is the third full-length album by the Atlanta based rapper and first through Shady Records. It is 17 tracks long and features 9 collaborations with Artists including Wiley From Atlanta, Wara, Big Rube, Kay Nellz & Kenny Mason, Royce Da 5’9″, AHYES, Tate228, Eminem, and Dead Cassettes. The album incorporates very raw and honest lyrics spit in a flow that is flat out maniacal at times. There is an emphasis on real instrumental elements such as piano, electric guitar, drums, and even violin within the album as well. The song he and Wiley From Atlanta collaborated on is called “And The Eulogy Read!?”. It is a very diverse track that mixes a very atmospheric, ominous sound with Wiley’s ghostly yet soulful vocals and Grip’s relentless flow. IDFT!? follows up Grip’s 2019 release, Snubnose.

Wiley From Atlanta is a singer and rapper. While his earlier work featured more Rap, his most recent album, Kingfisher, which has 8 tracks, was released in November 2021. It sounds like an amalgamation of hints of Rap & Hip Hop, mixed with R&B, Soul, Pop, Indie, and some easy going Stoner Rock vibes in between. His voice is very distinct, deep, and soulful. Marco Plus is a rapper, also from Atlanta. His last album ‘Tha Souf Got Sum To Say’ and released in October of 2021 and contains 19 tracks. It features collaboration tracks with Jovanslyric, Jiggs, Loki, Quon Popi, TRVP Shawn, and Silky Southern.
Marco is an artist that is constantly recording and releasing new material. Tha Souf Got Sum To Say followed up four months after to his April 2021 release titled, ‘Sparco‘.
