THE DEADD TALK ABOUT THEIR NEWEST EP ‘WASTING TIME’, FAVORITE CONCERT MEMORIES, AND MORE!

They share how they feel their sound has evolved since the release of their 2021 album ‘Fear of Death‘. They talk about which songs mean the most to them off the EP, and talk about the video for the first track off of the EP, The Loudest Shadow, which they self filmed and produced.

This is our second interview with The Deadd, you can check out our first interview here!

Michael shares that the song that gave him the most mental clarity was Find You because it’s what got him the most excited about the other songs they were working on and excited for what was coming next. For Matt, it was probably The Loudest Shadow or Find You, because there were a lot of melodic and psychedelic parts within them. Colin shared that the last track on the EP, Pareidolia helped him therapeutically get through some things that were going on at the time, and it was a good song for processing. Brian added that all of the songs helped him mentally, because of the different feelings with each song.

In December 2021, The Deadd released a track for the holidays, titled ‘Holidaze‘. The band filmed a quirky, stoner-vibed Music video and elaborated on how the song came to be, which was recorded and released all in a matter of two weeks. They didn’t really have a plan for the video, which made it even more fun to do, and more natural.

They also discuss if they’re planning on releasing anything new this year, in which they added that they do have ideas and riffs in the works, however, they want to wait until they play more shows before they release anything new.

They also talk about some of their most favorite Metallica concert memories, songs, and albums as well as Slipknot and In This Moment.
